So, here we are again! I missed you, I hope you’re doing good (even great if you like), blah blah blah, I’m a terrible person for editing my last post and procrastinating the “back to posting” again (wait a second: “Maybe I did, maybe I didn’t” is what my lawyer told me to say…), blah blah blah, and… yep, without further ado, here we are. With who?
If you feel a Fashion Month without Marine Deleeuw is like a Lost episode without a flash-something (back, forward, sideway), or a Prada show without at least 5 quirky random new faces, well, you’re in good company bud! I missed her, like many other models in many other ways indeed, but back to Marine – why have I missed her exactly? I missed her flawless runway presence, her nonchalant astonishing intensity, the way she looks so impeccable and at the same time unique, I simply adore her walking a catwalk; and I find her presence in practically any kind of show at least good, in most cases the best use possible for a spot never banal and incredibly suggestive indeed.
So, yep, I thought, since I won’t have any chance to post about her Fashion Month, what about this? Just to… you know, mention Marine and see something I like:

I have to say if walking shows she can wonderfully embody practically anything, in print I’m still pretty disappointed by many things outside some happy places. Even if we take two recent editorials like the one @ Bon (by Emma Tempest) or Dansk (Thanassis Krikis), well, I liked them, but… actually nothing more; are things fated to change?, I honestly have no idea, but in this “Praise of Marine” I felt it was right to say this as well.
On the other hand… in this kind of things (“lookbook material”, but consider any kind of editorial in this same neat direction as well) she shines for pretty the same reasons she shines on runway, I mean, it’s just a little part of the full spectrum, but it’s the same one which makes of her that never disappointing, solid, unique, enchanting wonder. So yep, many of you missed her, I did as well, a lot, and I thought this was a very good excuse to say it.
